Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture has been part of traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. It involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the skin or applying various other techniques to the acupuncture points to restore balance and encourage the body to heal itself.
The World Health Organisation lists 28 conditions for which acupuncture was proven – through controlled trials – to be an effective treatment. Furthermore, there are also 63 for which acupuncture was shown to have a therapeutic effect.
Therefore, acupuncture benefits especially some conditions that were proven to show an improvement through it like: depression, nausea, lower back pain, stroke, sciatica, morning sickness, acne vulgaris, etc.
